HB2397: Oklahoma Expungement Bill Passes Senate, 45-0

HB2397 continues to sail through the Oklahoma Legislature, and after passing the House on an 88-0 vote in March, it has now passed the Senate, 45-0.

There are some amendments to the bill which will need to be dealt with in Conference, but things look rosy for a November 1st effective date. Details about what HB2397 will do for Oklahoma can be found here

As always, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Representative Dunlap (R-Bartlesville) for his skilled efforts in pushing HB2397 forward, and our colleagues at the OSBI and the Oklahoma/Tulsa County District Attorney Civil Divisions for their continued support.
